Waves crash directly on the shores of the river or the banks of the Meghna. Such a scene can be seen on the Meghna beach of Motirhat. The location of this beach touches the coastal boundary of Kamalnagar Upazila, the southernmost district of Laxmipur district. Meghna has deeply influenced the people on both its shores. That is why the topic of Meghna has inevitably come up in songs, poems, and words in Bengali literature. Poet Shamsur Rahman wrote in his poem, “I will cross the river Meghna Kal-ala Ek naye. I’ll go again In the village of Paratali. ” At the same time, the poet Ahsan Habib also wrote many poems about the river Meghna One of them is: “Meghna Parer’s son I am the son of Meghna Parer I took the Meghna river.

I think this is my first love. No human river. The name of that river is Meghna.

My friend Rony Mazumder accompanied me to this place. There was good wishes and love for him.

There is no obstacle for anyone to bathe in the river if they want. There are both beaches and embankments.

And there is a huge coconut grove on the river bank. Where spending time is not an issue.

And anyone can taste fresh hilsa fish if they want. If you want to go to Motirhat Meghna beach, first you have to go to Jhumur station in the district town.

From there you can take a bus or CNG to Ramgati Road to Torabganj and from there by CNG to Motirhat Road.

If you look south from this embankment, you will not see any town. As far as the eye goes to the south, the eye seems to run towards the river.

The waves of the river hit the embankment. If you keep an eye on the huge estuary of the river, you can see various landscapes.

Small and big boats will catch your eye. The boats danced like Bharatanatyam to the beat of the waves. The fishermen are making a living from that boat. Throwing nets in the estuary, catching hilsa.

They are again being brought to the fish market for sale. Fishermen plan to catch hilsa. Every day at two tides the fishermen catch hilsa in the river.
